We spend our lives moving forward, but we always look back to find our place. There is a specific kind of gravity in the photos we discovered as kids. We studied them to understand our own beginnings and to find our faces in the people who came before us. They say photos tell a story, which they do, but they are really the foundation of a history. They are the only way to hold a feeling still. Documenting your life today is an act of preservation for the people who will one day look for you in these images.
Photography is about creating a legacy that stays vivid long after the day has passed.
Photography has been part of my life for a long time, but about five years ago I really found my place in portrait photography. Since then, I have spent lots of time working with people and learning how to make sessions feel relaxed, natural, and actually enjoyable. Experience has taught me how to read a room, give clear direction, and capture moments that feel real rather than over-posed. Whether it is a wedding day or a senior session, my focus is on creating images that feel effortless, flattering, and genuine. The best photos happen when people feel comfortable, and that is always my goal!
Maddy is an incredible photographer. She is friendly, so kind, and has a terrific eye for composition. She creates an atmosphere for her clients that feels exceptionally comfortable, and I leave each shoot feeling confident and gorgeous. She has a strong, distinct style in photography. Her use of colour, positioning and timing never disappoints! Could not recommend Maddy’s services more.
